Getting to Tuscany for Our Wedding
We can't wait to celebrate with you in the beautiful Tuscan countryside! Here's everything you need to know about getting from the UK to Villa Catignano.
Step 1: Fly to Pisa or Florence
Most guests will be flying from London to one of the following airports:
Pisa International Airport (PSA)
Florence Airport (FLR)
Both airports are convenient for reaching Siena but Pisa is generally cheaper with more available flights.
Step 2: Travel from the Airport to Siena
Once you arrive in Italy, there are two main ways to travel to Siena:
Option 1: Rent a Car
Renting a car is a great way to explore the Tuscan countryside at your own pace.
Pisa to Siena: Approx. 1 hour 45 minute drive
Florence to Siena: Approx. 1 hour 25 minute drive
Option 2: Take the Train
If you'd prefer not to drive, you can take a train from Pisa or Florence to Siena. You can only book train 27 weeks in advance.
Tickets are usually around £10 per person one-way.
Pisa to Siena: Approx. 2 hours 30 minutes (1 change in Empoli)
Florence to Siena: Approx. 1 hour 30 minutes (direct trains available)
Once you arrive in Siena, you'll need to take a taxi to the villa (about 20 minutes away).
Step 3: Accommodation
If you are staying at the Villa, you can simply pay for your room via our website.
If you're part of a larger group or prefer to stay elsewhere, there are several beautiful hotels nearby that you can book below.
